LAS VEGAS – The Nevada baseball team picked up its first sweep of the season, defeating UNLV for a third consecutive day in Governor’s Series action Saturday.
The Wolf Pack downed the Rebels, 7-4, in the series finale at Earl E. Wilson Stadium behind four runs in the seventh inning.
Nevada has defeated UNLV in seven straight games while winning the past three series. The Wolf Pack improved to 10-12 overall and 4-4 in Mountain West play. Nevada has also won five of its past six games.
The Pack trailed by two runs Saturday before scoring four runs in the seventh and two in the eighth.
