The dry run is out of the way. The Nevada basketball team can now look forward to opening the 2021-22 season for real next week.
The taller, quicker, deeper Wolf Pack was too much for visiting Dominican (Calif.) on Monday night at Lawlor Events Center, eventually posting a 90-55 win in an exhibition game that really wasn’t even that close.
The games will start counting next week, beginning with Nevada’s Nov. 9 home-opener against Eastern Washington.
Monday’s game was most notable for the public debut of a number of Wolf Pack players. Transfers Will Baker (Texas), AJ Bramah (Robert Morris), and Kenan Blackshear (Florida Atlantic), who all played at least 17 minutes.
