When Nevada needed a spark Tuesday night, it turned to a familiar source.
The Wolf Pack’s Grant Sherfield scored 16 of his 24 points in the second half to help Nevada break open a close game and cruise to an eventual 79-66 win over Pepperdine at Lawlor Events Center.
With the Pack holding a 39-36 lead just after the beginning of the second half, Sherfield scored seven of the game’s next 11 points to push Nevada’s advantage to 48-38. His personal scoring spurt lasted just over 90 seconds and included a 3-pointer, a layup, and a jump shot.
