Four days after a lackluster outing against Wyoming — and with their coach publicly questioning their toughness — Nevada played its best game of the season to beat Fresno State, 77-73, in a Mountain West basketball game Friday night at Lawlor Events Center.
After trailing by as many as nine points in the first half, and looking in danger of getting distanced in a second straight game, the Wolf Pack first righted its ship, then was the better, more aggressive team for much of the rest of the night.
Eight players scored for Nevada, led by a combined 33 points from Grant Sherfield (17) and Kenan Blackshear (a career-high 16).
