Nevada shot 33 percent, made one two-point basket in the first half, was without its biggest spark off the bench – and still managed to rally past a good basketball team on Saturday night.
Credit a great defensive effort.
The Wolf Pack overcame a poor shooting night and outscored South Dakota State, 39-28, in the second half to beat the Jackrabbits, 72-68, in the team’s first game at Lawlor Events Center in 25 days.
No. 7 Nevada moved to 11-0 with the win; South Dakota State fell to 9-4. The Pack plays again at Lawlor next Saturday against Akron.
