Toa Taua had 126 yards rushing and a touchdown on 18 carries and Ty Gangi passed for 247 yards and a score to help Nevada beat Hawaii, 40-22, on Saturday night.
With its fourth win of the season, the Wolf Pack (4-4 overall, 3-9 Mountain West) surpassed its victory total from last season's 3-9 record.
Also for the Pack, Elijah Cooks had three receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown and added a 40-yard rushing TD.
John Ursua scored on a 70-yard catch-and-run as the first quarter expired to give Hawaii (6-3, 3-1) a 14-10 lead before Nevada pulled away.
