A win is a win, especially for a team in the thick of a divisional title chase, but Nevada won’t be winning too many awards for its curiously flat performance Saturday night against San Jose State.
Well, the defense might.
Wolf Pack defenders Daiyan Henley and BerDale Robins each returned SJSU miscues for touchdowns in Nevada’s 27-24 win over the Spartans at Mackay Stadium. Nevada did score 10 fourth-quarter points — including Brandon Talton’s tie-breaking 45-yard field goal with six seconds to play — but the story for much of the night involved the Pack offense struggling to get any traction.
