The Mountain West Tournament begins Wednesday at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, with the winner earning the conference’s automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
Some teams obviously have a better shot of accomplishing that than others (the statistical-based website TeamRankings.com gives the Wolf Pack a 4.28 percent shot of winning the tournament).
Here’s a look at each team entering the MW Tournament, with their odds of winning (as determined by me) and rationale for why each team will or will not with the whole thing. Teams are listed based on their tournament seed.
