Without those who have fought and fallen to protect our liberties, we would not be able to enjoy our freedoms of speech, religion, the press, peaceful assemble/protest, due process, a speedy and public trial and freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures, among other things. It is their service that allows us to barbeque, camp, play golf, watch sports or hang out with family on this Memorial Day, so we should honor and never forget those who have lost their lives to protect those freedoms and the American ideals of life, liberty, happiness, justice, equality, safety and opportunity. Thanks to those who have served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice in doing so.
