The Mountain West hosted its annual media summit in Las Vegas last week, the year’s only opportunity to have all 12 schools’ coaches, athletic office personnel, and top players all in the same place at once.
The event is usually short on big news — no one even plays a game for another month — but it is an opportunity to get an early reading on the conference’s pulse.

Coming off a 3-9 season, Nevada placed three players onto the all-MW preseason team — tied for the second-most in the conference.
