Mountain West basketball rankings: Take a wild guess on No. 1

There’s a ton of basketball still to play, but it’s not much of a surprise who has the early advantage in the RGJ’s Mountain West basketball rankings.

Nevada, ranked sixth in the latest AP Top 25 poll, is off to a 2-0 start and is a comfortable No. 1 in our first MW rankings.

It’s early enough that there’s hardly any separation worth speaking of for the next six or eight teams.
