After sitting out a season, Desmond Cambridge Jr., has been on fire to start the college basketball season.
On Monday, the Nevada junior shooting guard, was named the Mountain West Player of the Week.
Cambridge, Jr., averaged 19.7 points and twice hit the 20-point mark last week as Nevada went 2-1, including a 1-1 start to Mountain West play. From the field, the Nashville, Tenn., native shot 42.6 percent (20-for-47), including 41.4 percent (12-for-29) from 3-point range and a perfect 7-for-7 showing from the line.
Cambridge, Jr., is playing his first season for the Wolf Pack after sitting out 2019-20 following his transfer from Brown.
