Each week, we will track how the locals in the NFL performed. Here’s a look at week 16 of the season.
* QB Colin Kaepernick, 49ers: The 49ers broke a franchise-record 13-game losing streak with a 23-22 win over the rival Rams after Kaepernick threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Rod Streater with 31 seconds left and scrambled in for a go-ahead 2-point conversion as San Francisco rallied out of a 14-point deficit. Kaepernick completed 28-of-38 passes for 266 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He was sacked four times, but added six rushes for 15 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown run, and accounted for 20 of the team’s 22 points (kicked Phil Dawson chipped in the other two on extra points).
