The Nevada athletics fundraiser Governor's Dinner returns this summer after a one-year hiatus, and will be held on July 14 on the grounds of the Governor’s Mansion in Carson City.
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback and former Fresno State (2009-13) player Derek Carr will headline the social event. Carr has declined the speaker honorarium and has asked to have the funds returned to Wolf Pack Athletics to support scholarships for student-athletes.
Carr is coming off of a 2020 season in which he threw for 4,103 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also became the franchise’s all-time leader in touchdown passes, eclipsing Hall of Famer Ken Stabler’s previous mark of 150, this past Oct.
