The Wolf Pack football team plays at No. 18/21 Notre Dame on Saturday, its first game against a ranked opponent this season, although playing Top 25 teams is a yearly occurrence for Nevada. The Wolf Pack has played at least one team ranked in the Top 25 every season since 2001 except in 2014. In the previous 10 years, Nevada has faced multiple Top 25 teams in eight of those seasons (2012 and 2014 being the lone exceptions).
The Wolf Pack is 4-25 all-time against Top 25 teams since moving to the FBS in 1992. Those victories are against BYU (2002), Fresno State (2005), Cal (2010) and Boise State (2010).
