Sophomore Corey Eddings took the lead into the final day of the Mountain West Men’s Golf Championship in Tucson, Ariz., before eventually settling for second place.
As a team, Nevada finished seventh.
Eddings began the day one shot ahead of Sam Kim (New Mexico) and two shots ahead of eventual winner Trevor Clayton (Fresno State). He finished with a 1-over 73 on Sunday, while Clayton birdied five holes on the front side and maintained par on the final six holes to complete a 3-under round of 69 and beat Eddings by two strokes.
Eddings finished the tournament at 7-under.
