Once again, Nevada responded from a disappointing loss with an impressive win.
The Wolf Pack fought off a determined Fresno State team Saturday at Lawlor Events Center, holding off the Bulldogs, 74-68, in a physical game to remain at the top of the Mountain West standings.
Nevada moved to 25-2 on the season and 12-2 in Mountain West games; the Pack leads the Mountain West by a half-game over Utah State. The win also helped to ease some of the sting from Nevada’s 65-57 loss at San Diego State on Wednesday.
The game was close throughout, with neither team leading by more than six points.
