When Wolf Pack pitcher Brooke Bolinger was 4 years old, her father bought her a softball glove.
The glove came with one caveat: “If you lose it, I’m not buying another one,” Bolinger’s dad said.
A few weeks later, Bolinger lost her glove. Her dad kept his promise. But one of her father’s friends found a glove a few days later. The only problem is it was a left-handed glove and Brooke had been throwing right-handed. If she wanted a glove, and to start playing softball, she had to adapt.
“I just picked up the glove and started throwing left-handed,” Bolinger said.
