The wait turned out to be not long at all for former Nevada quarterback Carson Strong.
After going undrafted in the seven rounds of the 2022 NFL draft, Strong signed a free-agent contract with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday for $320,000 in guaranteed money, including a $20,000 signing bonus, according to NBC Sports, which notes the $320,000 deal is the largest amount for any undrafted free agent this year.
Nevada Sports Net was first to report the news Saturday of Strong being offered a contract by Philadelphia.
It was not a banner draft overall for quarterbacks.
