The Wolf Pack doesn’t have any players on its roster from New York.
In fact, out of Nevada’s 100-plus players, only one is from the northeast: senior defensive tackle Kevin McReynolds, a native of Silver Spring, Md. But when the Wolf Pack heads to Buffalo for its final non-conference game of the season on Saturday, it will be a homecoming of sorts for two Wolf Pack coaches.
Associate head coach Jim Hofher, who leads the Wolf Pack receivers, was the head coach at Buffalo from 2001-05. And Nevada head coach Brian Polian spent his formative years in Buffalo when his father, Bill, was the general manager of the NFL’s Bills.
