LAS VEGAS — Much of the 2021 preseason All-Mountain West football team ended up looking a lot like last year’s final All-MW team, and that turned out to be a good thing for Nevada.
The Wolf Pack placed four players onto the preseason team, announced Thursday at the conference’s annual football media summit. All four finished the 2020 season as first-team All-Mountain West selections.
Nevada quarterback Carson Strong led the way for the Pack, being named as the MW’s preseason offensive player of the year and also first-team quarterback. He was joined on the first team by receiver Romeo Doubs, tight end Cole Turner and kicker Brandon Talton.
