The two Mountain West teams to receive votes in Monday’s preseason AP Top 25 college football poll will square off on Oct. 2 in what could be an early look at the conference title game.
Both Nevada (7-2 a year ago) and Boise State (5-2) totalled seven points in the preseason AP poll to finish outside of the first 25. They were the only MW teams to receive a vote.
Last week, the Wolf Pack finished with two points in the USA Today/AFCA preseason poll, finishing behind Mountain West rivals Boise State and San Jose State, and tying with Air Force.
