Nevada’s Dom Peterson and Julian Diaz earned Mountain West football Player of the Week honors coming off of the Wolf Pack's 26-21 win over San Diego State on Saturday.
Peterson was named the league’s defensive player of the week while Diaz was named the special teams player of the week.
Peterson had a huge game for the Nevada defense, with four tackles, three for a loss and two sacks. All of Peterson’s tackles came in a dominant second half for the Wolf Pack defense, which held the Aztecs scoreless and allowed them to pick up 41 yards of total offense in the third and fourth quarters.
