Nevada guard Lindsey Drew underwent hip surgery Wednesday and will not play this season, the school confirmed in a statement Wednesday evening.
Drew had not played this season while he rehabilitated a torn Achilles tendon suffered in February at Boise State.
Until Wednesday, though, it appeared Drew might have a shot at returning at some point this season, had he chosen to. But surgery on his right hip Wednesday, along with a scheduled surgery for his left hip in 4-6 weeks, has ended any chance of his suiting up for the Wolf Pack in 2018-19.
Instead, Drew will take his redshirt season and play his senior season in 2019-20.
