The Wolf Pack football team heads to Las Vegas this weekend with one goal: bring Fremont home.
The Fremont Cannon, given to the winner of the annual game between Nevada and UNLV is on the line Saturday when the two rivals face off in the regular-season finale. Both of the Silver State’s football teams have been eliminated from bowl eligibility this season, but there’s still plenty of play for.
UNLV is in possession of the Fremont Cannon after its 23-17 win in Reno last season, and Nevada coach Brian Polian is looking to even his record in the rivalry series, having lost two of his three matchups against UNLV.
