Former Wolf Pack basketball player Eric Cooper Jr. will continue his playing career at Pepperdine.
The shooting guard announced last month he would transfer schools and tweeted Monday that he was headed closer to home. The Ontario, Calif., native will be in nearby Pepperdine, where he will join a Waves program that went 18-14 overall and 10-8 in the West Coast Conference last year under fifth-year coach Marvin Wilson.
Under NCAA transfer rules, Cooper will have to sit out the 2016-17 season before having two years of eligibility remaining.
"I've officially decided to continue my career at Pepperdine," Cooper wrote on his Instagram page.
