Former Wolf Pack linebacker Brandon Marshall will have his number retired by his high school, Las Vegas' Cimarron-Memorial, on Friday.
Marshall is one of two players in Cimarron-Memorial's history to reach the NFL, the other being cornerback Vernon Fox, who played eight NFL seasons with four teams from 2002-09. Marshall is one of 41 players born in Las Vegas to reach the NFL, according to ProFootballReference.com.
Marshall became just the sixth Wolf Pack player to win a Super Bowl as an active player last February when Denver beat Carolina, 24-10, in Super Bowl 50. After being a fifth-round pick of Jacksonville in 2012, Marshall struggled to find his niche in the league and was cut three times.
