The Nevada athletics department will induct two classes into its Wolf Pack Hall of Fame this weekend. One of its most famous former athletes, though, will not be there.
Former Nevada quarterback and current rights activist Colin Kaepernick is not planning on attending any of the Hall of Fame festivities this weekend, Wolf Pack athletic director Doug Knuth confirmed on Tuesday. Knuth did not elaborate on the reasoning behind the decision.
Kaepernick played for Nevada from 2007 through 2010, finishing as the only player in NCAA history to pass for 2,000 or more yards and rush for 1,000 or more three times.
