It could be argued that moving from one Mountain West school to another is a lateral move, at best. Or that going from a successful football program to one decidedly less successful is, in fact, a downgrade.
Former Nevada coach Jay Norvell would not agree.
Norvell, who completed a Nevada-to-Colorado State move on Monday, repeatedly stressed facilities and support when he met the media for the first time on Tuesday.
“What makes this better is the resources; the resources of the football program,” Norvell responded to the first question asked. “This place (Colorado State) supports football; this place is committed to football.
