There are good losses and bad losses.
Nevada men's basketball coach Steve Alford said the Wolf Pack's two losses at San Diego State last week were the good kind.
The Aztecs beat the Wolf Pack, 65-60 on Thursday, then 69-67 on Saturday on a last-second shot.
"I'd be discouraged if we had lost playing poorly," Alford said Monday.
He is encouraged because the Pack stuck to the game plan, played good, sound basketball and executed well, for the most part.
He said a few breakdowns were the culprit in both losses.
