Dave Roberts to speak at Pack's Dolan Dinner on Thursday

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, the reigning National League Manager of the Year, is the keynote speaker at Nevada's annual Bobby Dolan Dinner on Thursday night at the Reno Ballroom.

Roberts, 44, played 10 major-league seasons with five teams. He's most remembered for a key stolen base in the 2004 American League Championship Series that ignited Boston's comeback from a three-games-to-zero deficit to beat the rival Yankees as the Red Sox went on to win its first World Series since 1918.

Roberts played 832 big-league games. He posted a .266 average with 437 runs scored, 23 home runs and 243 stolen bases.
