The Nevada Wolf Pack cross country team, led by seniors Emily Myers (17:09) and Caitlin Devitt-Payne (17:21), took third in a field of 10 at the Sacramento Capital Cross Challenge Saturday morning.
Several racers had their best 5,000 meter showings in the chilly race, including collegiate personal records for Myers (27 seconds), Devitt-Payne (37 seconds) and senior Erika Root (eight seconds). Myers moves into a tie for second on the all-time list, while Marissa Suan, a sophomore, makes her debut at 20. McKenna Evans put her name on the freshman 5K all-time list, with her time of 18:01 being good enough for fourth.
