The Los Angeles Chargers on Wednesday night released five-time Pro-Bowl defensive end Joey Bosa.
Bosa had been with the Chargers since 2016, when they selected him with the No. 3 pick in the NFL draft.
He was the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2016.
