If Wolf Pack quarterback Tyler Stewart, who was handed the keys to the offense during fall camp, had any jitters in his first start in two seasons, they sure didn’t show. In fact, Stewart was close to perfect.
The junior, replacing four-year starter Cody Fajardo and making his first start since 2013, completed 9-of-10 passes in the first half and played an efficient and effective game as the Wolf Pack downed FBS opponent UC Davis, 31-17, on a warm Thursday night before 21,483 fans at Mackay Stadium.
“Loved it,” coach Brian Polian said of the look in the eyes of Stewart during the game.
