A slow start and a poor shooting night turned out to be too much for Nevada to overcome in its return to Mountain West basketball action.
In a matchup of two teams coming off long COVID-related layoffs, Boise State took an 85-70 win Wednesday night at Lawlor Events Center.
It was the Wolf Pack’s first game since beating New Mexico on Jan. 1. The schedule stays busy for Nevada (7-6 overall, 1-1 MW), which travels to Air Force for a Saturday afternoon game, then returns home to play Wyoming on Monday.
Boise State improved to 11-4, 2-0 with its big win.
