Dick Trachok never had to work a day in his life.
It was a nearly perfect existence for a football star, coach and athletic director who came from a small mining town in Pennsylvania to become a beloved Nevada icon.
Trachok died on Sunday. He was 94.
He often joked, he loved his job so much that it never felt like work.
"He was very fortunate he never felt as if he was working," said his son Rick Trachok on Sunday. "Sign me up for that kind of life."
Trachok said his dad had been in hospice for the last week but remained active up until the last few months.
