The Nevada baseball team is two wins — and, possibly, even fewer — from making a bit of history.
The Wolf Pack (21-18, 18-8 Mountain West) enters its weekend series against visiting San Jose State needing two wins in four games to clinch the 2021 Mountain West regular-season championship. And, with the conference electing to forgo a season-ending tournament, a MW title would also put Nevada into the NCAA regional round for the first time in 21 years.
The Pack and the last-place Spartans (6-26, 2-15) are scheduled for a single game Friday, a Saturday double-header, and a final game on Sunday.
