The Nevada baseball team scored two runs in the seventh and two in the ninth, but couldn’t rally past Fresno State on Sunday in the teams’ series finale, losing 7-6 at Pete Beiden Field.
Nevada (15-18 overall, 6-7 Mountain West) scored six runs on eight hits. Miles Mastrobuoni led the way, going 2-of-5 with two RBI. Left-hander Trenton Brooks took the loss after allowing four runs — one earned – in four innings.
Nevada plays Monday in its fourth road game in as many days. The Wolf Pack is at No. 19 UC Santa Barbara, 24-7-1 overall and ranked 19th in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll.
