Baseball: Wolf Pack completes sweep at SDSU

The Nevada baseball team opened up a 12-run lead and held on for a 13-9 win at San Diego State on Sunday, completing a series sweep at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

The Wolf Pack improved to 23-20 overall and 13-8 in Mountain West games with its fifth straight victory.

For the first time in program history, Nevada swept a pair of three-game series against the Aztecs in a single season.

Left-hander Trenton Brooks got the win, allowing two earned runs and getting five strikeouts in six innings.

TJ Friedl went 3-of-6 at the plate with three runs scored to lead Nevada, while Justin Bridgman, Miles Mastrobuoni, Brooks, Bryce Greager, and Kaleb Foster all finished with two-hit games.
