There aren’t too many teams left playing college baseball, but Nevada is one of them.
The Wolf Pack ended a long NCAA tournament drought by winning the Mountain West championship last week and now gets a chance to show its stuff on a national stage. Nevada will open up NCAA regionals action on Friday as one of four teams at the double-elimination Stanford Regional.
The ultimate goal for the Pack — along with the other 63 teams beginning regionals action Friday — is a spot in the eight-team College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
