Baseball: Pack unveils title banner, then edges Lobos

The Nevada baseball team turned a 5-3 double play in the ninth inning to hold on for a 7-6 win over New Mexico on Sunday at Peccole Park.

The Wolf Pack (5-10 overall, 1-4 Mountain West) claimed its first Mountain West victory of the season.

Junior left-hander Trenton Brooks picked up his first win of the season, striking out six while allowing nine hits and two earned runs in five innings. Brooks also had three RBI at the plate, and sophomore TJ Friedl added three hits and two runs.

Prior to the first pitch, Nevada unveiled its 2015 Mountain West championship banner.
