After NFL career, Burnett returns to Pack as coach

Kaelin Burnett was sitting at home on the Fourth of July and he was bored, so he called an old coach.

That man on the other end was Mike Bradeson, the one-time defensive coordinator at Nevada who was still serving as the team’s safeties coach. After a three-year NFL career, Burnett wanted to get back into football.

“Do you think I could come and help coach the team?” Burnett asked.

Bradeson said he would talk to the head man, Brian Polian, and get back to him. A week later an open invitation was offered to Burnett, who played for the Wolf Pack from 2008-11.
