First quarter
Nevada opened with the ball and picked up one first down – a 14-yard throw to Hasaan Henderson on a first down – but was forced to punt. Brian Hill ripped off a 41-yard run on Wyoming’s first play but Nevada DE Malik Reed took over after that, snaring two sacks and causing a false start to force a punt. The Wolf Pack picked up two first downs but then went backward following two sacks and punted. Wyoming then got on the board when Hill raced in from 56 yards out on a pitch on third-and-1 to give the Cowboys a 7-0 lead.
