The last time Nebraska hosted Penn State on the mat in Lincoln was in January of 2020, about a month after I started covering Husker wrestling here at Corn Nation.
Oh, how time flies.
Nebraska lost a tight 20-18 dual that night. Penn State went on to drop a dual at Iowa the next weekend 19-17. The Nittany Lions haven’t lost a dual since with their winning streak at 63 and counting.
Of the last 13 NCAA team titles, Penn State has won 11 of them, including the last three. Last year, the Nittany Lions set the NCAA record for team points at the national tournament with 172.
