Following the Huskers recent triumph at home in Lincoln, Neb. at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, Travis Wong has earned his second Big Ten honors as Freshman of the Week, announced the conference on Monday, March 8.
Wong competed on pommel horse in this past weekend's four-team meet against B1G opponent Illinois, and GymACT club teams, Minnesota, and Iowa, where he impressed with his talent and notched a score of 13.45, marking a career-high for the current freshman and helped push the Big Red to success.
Wong and Chris Hiser are the only freshmen to receive this honor within the 2022 season, tallying a total of two B1G honors for both gymnasts.
