Jessica Shepard has had a double-double in each of the first three games of her college career.
Saturday, the freshman post from Fremont scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds to help lead the Nebraska women’s basketball team to an 88-47 win against North Carolina Central at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Rachel Theriot and Natalie Romeo each added 13 points for the Huskers (3-0).
Shepard was 8-of-13 from the field and 4-of-8 on free throws.
Romeo missed her first four three-point tries, then made two in a row in just 45 seconds to put the Huskers up 27-15 in the second quarter.
