For the second time in Big Ten Conference play, Nebraska’s Jessica Shepard will be playing against a former teammate when the Huskers host Illinois on Sunday.
In the first Big Ten game of the season, Shepard played against Iowa guard Alexa Kastanek, her former Lincoln Southeast and club teammate.
Sunday will be more of a head-to-head matchup between Shepard and Illinois sophomore Chatrice White, with both players playing inside.
White is a 6-foot-3 center from Shelby who played with Shepard for a few years on the Cornhusker Shooting Stars club team.
Shepard and White are two of the best high school players from the state.
