Making the right pass, or the extra pass, helped the Nebraska women’s basketball team get its seventh Big Ten Conference win of the season on Tuesday with an 87-69 win against Penn State at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The Huskers finished with an impressive 26 assists on 33 made field goals. At one point in the fourth quarter, NU had assists on 24 of 28 field goals.
That passing helped the Huskers overcome a bit of a slow start, when they missed some jump shots and had long passes turn into turnovers.
Nebraska had three turnovers in the first quarter, but just five the rest of the game.
