Jessica Shepard scored 22 points, and Natalie Romeo added 14 to lead the Nebraska women’s basketball team to a 62-61 win against Purdue on Wednesday in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Purdue was in a three-way tie for first place in the Big Ten Conference.
Nebraska (13-5, 4-3) had now won four straight conference games following a 0-3 start to league play.
Purdue had a chance to win the game in the final 10 seconds but could not get a shot off after a deflection by NU's Allie Havers.
Purdue cut a 13-point deficit to one with 3 minutes to play.
