Wistrom and Peter drive home message of intensity in fiery presentation

Nebraska defensive coordinator Erik Chinander has long held the Blackshirt tradition in high regard.

From nearly the first day he stepped on campus in Lincoln, he's called it his favorite tradition in college football.

In the months since, he's backed up what may have sounded like hyperbole in the beginning with action; having several former players and coaches come back to Lincoln to deliver messages to the Cornhuskers' defense.

Two of the best — and most intense — to ever do it, Jason Peter and Grant Wistrom, spoke to the Huskers that day. While any tape of that meeting has yet to surface, it's not hard to imagine what went down behind closed doors.
